The brief

Nutrition tracking can feel intimidating. For my BrainStation UX course, I explored how a nutrition app could make everyday food tracking more approachable. Three interviews highlighted recurring grocery purchases, limited time for tracking, dietary restrictions and preferences, and frustration with apps adapting slowly to workout routines.

The approach

I developed the information architecture, task flows, sketches, wireframes, and visual direction around a Fridge grocery concept and Quick Add. I focused on two scenarios: recovering from an unrecognised barcode through database search, nutrition-label scanning, or manual entry; and comparing nutrition across selected time periods.

Outcome

The project resulted in two designed task flows and an interface walkthrough. Nutri remained a course concept, not a launched product. Further development of Fridge and search, along with technical feasibility, remained future work.
